Guide to Booking Your First Photoshoot
Here are some important questions to ask before you book:
1) Do you have a particular vision or color scheme in mind?
Many clients have different visions of what the perfect shoot looks like. Some clients enjoy the beauty of an all black and white photoshoot while others prefer photographs in color. Other important factors include considering what props, outfits, and themes we will follow throughout the duration of the photoshoot to ensure your story is told perfectly (whether you and your love are holding hands running down the beach or the next perfect suit to advertise yourself as a business owner).
2) Is there something specific you would like to capture?
I once did a photoshoot where I really wanted to capture my grandmothers ring in as many photographs as possible. Doing so made the photographs captured far more meaningful and beautiful looking back (another reason why I say “CONSIDER PROPS".
SPECIAL EVENTS: Specific areas of focus can include: your family and guests invited, pre-ceremony shoots like your dress and bridal/groom party, outfit and accessories, first look, etc.
3) What location and time would best fit my look?
Choosing the correct location and time for your shoot is the most important piece to the masterpiece! I always encourage my clients to think outside of the box and not settle for the studio if they don’t have to. Living in Southern California grants us access to the best landscapes, beaches, and city views Los Angeles has to offer. Do you have a specific location in mind? - I love you already. Feeling stuck? - That’s totally okay! There’s nothing better than going on an adventure for that perfect place. Either way - we’re creating magic!
