3 Tips to Enjoy Your First Couples Photoshoot

To my love birds - I’m so excited to tell your story!

To love yourself and be loved is the biggest blessing in the world.

Here are some important things to consider if you are interested in booking a couples photoshoot:

  1. It’s okay to be shy in front of the camera. Most people have never had their photograph taken and can feel lost finding the perfect pose or movement

    • No worries - leave that to me! I will guide you both as we move through each pose. You will most definitely see me doing weird movements but I promise, the end results are worth it ! Also, I encourage all my clients to scroll through Pinterest and my Instagram to practice posing before the big day.

  2. Discuss with your partner if they are interested in partaking in a photoshoot before booking. In a couples photoshoot — it really does takes two to tango!

    • Have an open conversation with your partner about what their comfort levels are toward doing a photoshoot together? If they’re open to the idea - consider what locations you both feel comfortable in. You may be okay with a beach location whereas your couple may not feel comfortable posing in public. This is a joint experience and making sure you’re both enjoying the experience is key.

  3. Reflect on the happy moments in your relationship as you’re having your photo taken.

    • Is there a special place or activity your thoughts return back to?

    • How would you like to tell your love story to the world?

    • Does being together feel carefree and adventurous OR warm and in the moment?

Louisa B. Photography

Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA my passion for couples and editorial photography began three years ago. I find black and white photography a classic yet dreamy escape, but also love incorporating both warm and cool tones. Living in Southern California, there is beauty to photographing in outdoor sceneries like beaches and mountain sides to make the story even more special.

— I would like to thank my clients for allowing themselves to tap into their most confident and authentic self. For many, it is their first time and that is okay! I work with my clients before and during the big day to make sure everything goes as close to perfect!

Once again, thank you for choosing me to capture your next special moment and I can’t wait to connect with you.
